Who is Independent ERP?

IMG_0101.jpg

Through my (Christiaan Noordzij) years of experience in ERP, I have developed a passion for ERP projects. Due to its complex nature, the challenging environment of a company in which it takes place and the high impact they have, I see opportunities for improvement. I see a strong need for customers to become educated, advised and supported in pre-selection, selection and implementation of an ERP system. I believe all players involved will benefit from improvements on the Customer side: Customers themselves, Software Vendors and Third parties. The delivery of these improvements and benefits in the ERP field and lifting the sector more towards the truth, I see as my mission and passion.

Passion
Experience

During my 5 year career as a Microsoft Dynamics AX trade, logistics and finance) implementation (lead) ERP business consultant in the commodity sector, I worked on multiple small and large ERP projects simultaneously. I saw what was working and what was not working in ERP implementations and how things can go wrong already before buying an ERP. I have experienced quick and effective implementations of 6 months and long and ineffective implementations that took 3 years. I have seen that both the Software Vendor and the Customer are responsible for this. I got to know Dynamics 365 and know what to look (out) for with a transfer to this version. I also worked as a pre-sales consultant, giving demo's to prospects. After this adventure,I worked as a Project Management Consultant in the role of Project Manager leading the implementation of a software planningtool doing the work of a Project Manager and Change Manager. This really got the ERP fire going. Equiped with a more than solid basis of what i need to know, I decided to start my own company in giving advice in the ERP field!

Exstensive Research

Next to my passion and experience in the field, I conducted thorough research in the market, talking to numerous people in the field, reading books and other literature, to really pin-point the problems and solutions in all (linked) stages of ERP (pre-selection, selection, implementation, evaluation). I believe in asking the market what they see as their biggest problem in need of solving and than to find solutions for those problems. What I found was that there is a vast array of problems and challenges in the different stages of an ERP project, that are experienced by customers. I also found that most of these problems can be avoided by managing the project well from the start. The earlier you take the right steps, the more money and time you will save in the end.
